I had a little fun yesterday getting creative. Happy holidays from our Maui photography studio!

INTRODUCING SANDY PAWS MAUI PET PORTRAITS!

Do you have a new fur baby in your family? Do you have a senior dog that has been your best friend for many years? Did you adopt a dog needing a forever home?

If they are a member of your family, we want to know all about them and make a portrait of them you will adore! We would love to chronicle their time with you as a companion, playmate, caregiver, therapy dog, blanket, babysitter, comic, bed warmer, adventure buddy, pre-wash dishwasher, protector and friend.

I grew up wanting to be a vet so it's no surprise that I added pet portraits to our Maui portrait photography services. We offer our Sandy Paws Pet Portraits on Maui both indoors and outdoors but so far everyone has wanted to bring their happy fur babies into our Maui portrait studio for a little air conditioned love under the studio lights. We give them some time to cool down in our A/C before we photograph them and that gives them time to check out all the studio smells too. We are currently booking Sandy Paws Portraits for 1-2 dogs as long as they bring an equal number of humans with them.

We'd love to meet your fur baby! We even have a toy for your pet after their Sandy Paws experience!

This handsome pit bull came into our Maui portrait studio to celebrate his new life with his forever home.

He was found next to the road on Maui starving and badly gored by a wild pig with an infection that almost killed him. At the time he was found by his adopted family, he was scared of just about everything. They took him to the vet right away to start the healing process and through lots of patience, love and kindness, they coaxed him back to physical health. He still bears a physical scar on his shoulder but he is a star student in both obedience and agility training at Sit Means Sit. We celebrated his session with a traditional wild boar's tusk adornment and floral lei featuring native Hawaiian plants including palapalai ferns and a'ali'i from Haawina Farms and his favorite dog auntie's yard. He is one sweet, happy, healthy and lucky dog.

He was gifted a Sandy Paws session by one of his owner’s friends who believes in second chances.

Have a success story you’d love to share?

In Studio Dog Portrait of Great Dane Hoku

Maui Pet Portrait Photography by Photographic Craftsman and Certified Professional Photographer, Aubrey Hord

Location: Aubrey Hord Photography

Session Type: In Studio Sandy Paws Pet Portrait

Styling and Wardrobe: Aubrey Hord Photography

Hoku’s owner brought her into the studio so we could make some beautiful portraits of her. Hoku is a chocolate harlequin Great Dane. She is stunning. And she’s BIG! You have to own a truck or very large SUV to transport a dog this size. She is just a love and was so well behaved in the studio. What a joy to be able to make portraits of Hoku!
