Maui Beach Portraits Red Skirt Beach Ballet

Maui, Hawaii based model and actor, Emily, asked us to help her expand her portfolio for her agency using one of the red skirts from our studio collection. When she came to our studio to update her headshot, she saw the skirt and fell in love with it. She is a former gymnast and ballet dancer and loved the look of the red skirt on the beach with the wind and water in the background. The red color worked perfectly in contrast for her Maui beach portraits along with a blue water morning.

Breanna wanted to create a portrait with her beautiful Friesian horse and we were absolutely delighted to help. We spent some time talking in the studio about the overall concept and wardrobe for the session. While Dacia Waller from our Glam Squad got Breanna camera ready for her luxury portrait with her horse, she was able to relax in our studio with a beverage in her hand listening to her favorite music.
I grew up riding horses and competing both in Under Saddle and Hunter Jumper shows in the South and Midwest. When I was about to turn 16 years old my parents started asking if I would rather have a horse or a used car. What kind of question is that for a 16 year old? So not fair! Well, with that polarizing option, I chose a car. I don’t regret the decision but I love being in the equestrian helm and working with horses. I am incredibly comfortable and happy working around and with horses. Making portraits of the horses and their riders and owners is such a joy.
