MAUI SPORTS PORTRAITS WITH CY

We had another fun round of "Friday Night Lights" themed sports portraits at Kamehameha Schools Maui campus with their athletes.

This time I photographed them without the stadium lights on and gorgeous sunset behind them. We received permission from the school and coaches to photograph two cross country runners who are stars this year.

I was using my new Flashpoint lighting system and working on high speed sync to develop my skills for my Master of Photography Degree.

Cy was our first model runner and he is one of the calmest, kindest, humble and genuine people I have ever met. It was such a pleasure to not only meet him, but to meet his fun sister, Tehane, who came to the school to watch and help with the session. She was a bundle of joy to have along and such a giggler. We had a great time practicing with the new lights and here are some of the results. i hope you like them!

Mahalo to athletic trainer, Erin Harkleroad, for inviting me to do this and Kamehameha Schools Maui for granting me permission to photograph on their campus and allowing me to work on my Master of Photography Degree.
